The Event component in Mition is designed to automatically display upcoming events within your email templates. It provides a structured, card‑style layout that highlights key event details such as the title, date, location, and description, along with a clear call to action. This makes it easy for recipients to quickly understand what’s happening and take the next step.

When selected, the interface identifies the component type as “Event” and displays a visual icon of event cards. Users can click “CHANGE TYPE” to switch to a different layout if required.

A Custom Style Override dropdown is available, allowing users to apply a unique style that differs from the overall form or template. This is useful for aligning the event block with campaign branding or organisational guidelines.

Under the Fields section, users can configure:

  • Tags: Select tags that match the events to display. This ensures only relevant events are pulled into the email.
  • Event Category: Choose a category (e.g. General, Training, Conference) to filter events.
  • Group Feature: Select a group feature if events are tied to specific member groups or permissions.
  • Page Size (optional): Define how many events are displayed per page if pagination is enabled.
  • Maximum Items (optional): Limit the total number of events shown in the email.

Each event card typically includes:

Event Title: Displayed prominently.

Date and Time: Clearly shown to avoid confusion.

Location: A physical venue or online meeting link.

Description: A short summary or promotional text.

Tags: Labels such as Gold, Silver, or Training to help categorise events.

Call to Action: A link or button (e.g. Read More, Register Now) that directs recipients to the event page.

This component is commonly used for:

  • Promoting training sessions, webinars, or workshops
  • Highlighting conferences or community events
  • Sharing upcoming activities with members or subscribers
  • Driving registrations and attendance

The Event component provides a professional and automated way to showcase upcoming activities. By combining structured event cards with filtering options, it ensures your audience sees the most relevant events and can easily take action.
