The Header component in Mition is used to introduce the email with a clear and styled heading. It typically appears at the top of the template and helps set the tone, context, or subject of the message. This component is often used in automated emails or content-driven layouts where a consistent title or section label is required.

When selected, the interface identifies the component type as “Header” and displays a visual icon representing a horizontal banner. A note indicates that it is “Used by Contents / Auto,” meaning it may be automatically inserted or referenced by other components. Users can click “CHANGE TYPE” to switch to a different layout if needed.

A Custom Style Override dropdown is available, allowing users to apply a unique style that differs from the overall form or template. This is useful for aligning the header with branding, colour schemes, or specific campaign themes.

Under the Fields section, users can configure:

  • Header Text: This is the main heading displayed in the email. It is entered using a rich text editor that supports formatting options such as bold, italic, underline, font size, and alignment. The header should be concise and relevant to the content that follows.
  • Table of Contents Text (see TOC): This optional field allows users to define a label that may be used in a generated table of contents, especially in longer or multi-section emails.

This component is ideal for:

  • Section titles in newsletters
  • Automated content headers
  • Highlighting key topics or announcements
  • Structuring multi-part emails

The Header component is fully responsive and supports dynamic placeholders such as [CompanyName], [PreferredName], or [Date], allowing for personalised and context-aware headings.

The Header component provides a structured and styled introduction to your email content. It enhances readability, improves navigation, and reinforces the message hierarchy—making your communications more professional and effective.
