The Image Text components in Mition are designed to pair a single image with a block of formatted text, displayed side by side. They are ideal for highlighting a feature, product, or announcement with both a visual and a written explanation.

The difference between the two lies in the orientation of the layout:

Image Text 1 → The image is on the left and the text is on the right.

Image Text 2 → The image is on the right and the text is on the left.

This mirrored design provides flexibility, allowing you to alternate layouts between sections for a more dynamic and visually engaging email.

When selected, the interface identifies the component type as either “Image Text 1” or “Image Text 2” and displays an icon representing the chosen layout. Users can click “CHANGE TYPE” to switch between them or select another component.

A Custom Style Override dropdown is available, enabling users to apply a unique style that differs from the overall form or template. This is useful for tailoring the component to specific campaigns or branding requirements.

Under the Fields section, users can configure:

  • Image (URL): A direct link to a hosted image. The image is displayed on one side of the layout and should be optimised for email to ensure clarity and fast loading.
  • Text (Rich): A rich text editor where users can enter and format the content that appears alongside the image. The editor supports bold, italic, underline, bullet points, alignment, and font size adjustments, making it easy to create structured and engaging copy.

These components are commonly used for:

  • Introducing a product or service with supporting details
  • Displaying a logo with descriptive text
  • Highlighting a feature or announcement
  • Alternating layouts in longer emails to improve readability and flow

Both Image Text 1 and Image Text 2 are fully responsive, ensuring the layout adjusts gracefully across desktop and mobile devices. They also support dynamic placeholders such as [CompanyName], [PreferredName], or [WebsiteURL] for personalised messaging.

The Image Text 1 and Image Text 2 components provide a flexible and professional way to combine visuals with explanatory text. By alternating the placement of the image and text, you can create rhythm, balance, and a polished finish to your email design.
