Email Template Tags

Knowledge Base > Email Template > Email Template Tags

Mition supports a comprehensive set of dynamic tags—also known as merge fields—that can be used inside Email Templates, Invoice Footers, and other automated system messages. These tags allow you to personalise communications by automatically inserting user, membership, subscription, and system information at the time the message is generated.

This document provides a complete reference to all supported tags, how they work, and best‑practice usage.

These tags allow personalisation and automation, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for members. By using these tags correctly, organisations can deliver customised communications while maintaining consistency.

Dynamic tags are placeholders written inside square brackets, for example:

Hello [FullName], your membership is active until [PaidUpUntil].

When the system sends an email or generates an invoice, Mition replaces each tag with the correct value for the recipient.

Why use tags

  • Personalise communication
  • Reduce manual data entry
  • Ensure consistency across templates
  • Automatically reflect the latest user information
  • Improve member engagement and clarity

Invoice footers supports all standard email tags, including:

  • User identity
  • Contact information
  • Address fields
  • Subscription details
  • Custom fields
  • System metadata

This ensures consistency between email communications and invoice formatting.
